No Holding Back is one mega step up from the first book ‘No Love Allowed’. I liked the relationship development of Preston and Nathan. In this book, I get to appreciate Preston more as a character because in here he seems to speak more unlike in ‘No Love Allowed’ where he’s just where Nate is. I like watching him figure out his sexual orientation, getting jealous at Adam Levine just because Nathan idolized the guy? Pres, seriously. I anticipated when the two, Nathan and Preston, are going to address the elephant in the room… And oh when they did it was glorious, well until Preston’s zero focus on his swimming career came in the scene which is annoying like Preston come on, priorities! I like Nathan so much since the first book. Oh! The pot brownie! I got a little hitch in my chest when ‘the thing’ that almost happened between him and Preston *sighs* if only the other boy didn’t show some restraint I think we’re going down a different level here. I also liked how everyone is just to accepting at everyone’s sexuality like, “Ey you like my son, yeah? Them go get/with him then.” Where is this Dodge Cove place? I wanna ‘bi’ there. I love how romantic the relationship of Nathan and Preston turned out, hell I wouldn’t be surprised if I passed by a bookstore and saw that the copies of this books are ant infested because of its oozing sweetness. Also with this whole deal with Natasha and their old friend Jackson, I’m expecting a new bok featuring the two of them… Possibly getting back together??
All in all, I love the book. Its a fun and romantic read that I recommend to everyone who wants to swoon. I don’t give a fuck if you’re goddamn homophobic, you read this and I don’t know if your damn mindset ain’t gonna change.
