Hello hello! Okay so guys, I’ve met Victoria Aveyard last March 6 2016 and I still got the #VICTORIAAVEYADinPH hangover until now! There’s no getting over the answer that she gave me on my question (we’ll get to that later).
Here’s what happened in that iconic day of my life starting from the time the I get out of bed. Ha! Okay, I woke up at like 2:00 in the morning just to prep and get to the venue because I know that the line will start early and for sure, other dedicated fans will camp out of the site… which they did.
Excuse my face over there hahaha but yeah, there we are. Already in the line at 5:00 in the morning, its a bit frustrating though. I’m expecting my number to be in 100-150 since only a few people are there when we fall in the line but meh, a group cut in so I’m on no. 200. It’s all okay though.
There we are, this photo is taken 3 more hours before the signing. A few hours to wait. When they say the waiting is the painful part, they are lying. Its actually the fun part for I get to meet other book lovers and bookstagrammers and have a quick chit chat about the Glass Sword. We were careful to avoid any spoilers of course, for the sake of those who hasn’t finished the book yet.
And there she goes…
VICTORIA AVEYARD WAS ON THE BUILDING AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!
Yep, you read it right, all hell broke loose the moment she stepped on that flatform. Everyone started chanting “Maven! Maven! Maven!”. I chanted with them but deep inside I was all “Barrow! Barrow! Barrow!”. She had a quick talk and Q&A with the fans where she was asked if she’s ‘Team Cal’ or ‘Team Maven’ and her answer was that she’s ‘Team Mare’ and was asked that if she ever is a silver what would she be and Victoria said that she’ll choose to a Whisper for it is the most powerful and terrifying of all. Gosh, I love VA so much! VA also said that she had her Bieber moment because of the bulk of the fans that came in her book signing (there are 1000+ of us!) and that she’s never experienced it before. Plus she love the mangoes in our country, so every time I see a mango it isn’t only Jace Herondale that crosses my mind, its also Victoria Aveyard. 🙂
And then we head to the signing…
So there’s me and my awkward happy face with the ever beautiful Queen Victoria! My quick conversation with her went like this (warning! Glass Sword spoiler ahead):
Me: *waves* Hi!
VA: How are you?
Me: Oh! I’m good! I have a question though
VA: Okay, what is it?
Me: Did you ever regretted killing Shade
VA: No, I did not–
VA: –but I miss writing him though
Me: Oh, thanks! *big smile*
Aaannd that’s it! Here’s a photo of my singed books. I got my copy of Glass Sword and Cruel Crown signed but not the red Queen because I bought it on a different bookstore that isn’t hosting the book tour. *sighs*
HUGE THANKS TO NATIONAL BOOKSTORE WITH THE PARTNERSHIP OF EPIC READS FOR MAKING OUR DREAMS OF MEETING VICTORIA AVEYARD COME TRUE! More authors to meet in the future, hopefully 🙂
That’s all for this blog update, be back soon! Ciao!
