Synopsis

Deserter. Traitor. Rogue.

Ember Hill left the dragon organization Talon to take her chances with rebel dragon Cobalt and his crew of rogues. But Ember can’t forget the sacrifice made for her by the human boy who could have killed her—Garret Xavier Sebastian, a soldier of the dragonslaying Order of St. George, the boy who saved her from a Talon assassin, knowing that by doing so, he’d signed his own death warrant.

Determined to save Garret from execution, Ember must convince Cobalt to help her break into the Order’s headquarters. With assassins after them and Ember’s own brother helping Talon with the hunt, the rogues find an unexpected ally in Garret and a new perspective on the underground battle between Talon and St. George.

A reckoning is brewing and the secrets hidden by both sides are shocking and deadly. Soon Ember must decide: Should she retreat to fight another day…or start an all-out war?

My review

This book have been amazing so far! Thing just keep on getting better and better in the this world. At first I thought we’d see more of the Order of St. George but were back on Talon organization and their evil ass schemes. I’m so so glad that there’s this Cobalt chapters in the book that helped us get to know more Riley/Cobalt and how the resistance against Talon risen up.

Rogue became one of those books that again brought me to Vegas, and when Ember was there with all the shiny bright lights Rile was all like “Close your mouth firebrand”. Dante is, I think, will excel at being a great tactician. Look at the idea he proposed to catch Ember. Oh and Ember, my gosh! She is a total bad ass, I didn’t really know what her training with the Viper did to her til’ I saw it in action! Oh and Garret, my my… I kind of feel bad about him at this book, everything he’s know all his life was thrown out of the window and he ended up going against his brothers at arms. But he [Garret] became n asset to our Rogues because he knows the moves of St. George, I mean he’s also a Rogue now too. That part where the characters are separated, I started to get nervous. At some point when they mentioned two Rogues looking for Riley ma babe, that’s when I know that shizz about to get down. It was a crazy and amazing book all over, the love triangle is pretty effective! OMG that part when Riley saw Garret kiss Ember, my gosh! Tension’s too much to handle! Dearest Ember and Riley, will you guys just kiss already?!

I’m so so excited for the next book, Soldier, I guess in there we’ll get to see more of the Order of St. George and we get to know the Order more and probably got a taste of that sinister plans that Talon has us peeked at at the end of the book. Great writing, awesome world, remarkable characters, tension filled moments. What more could I ask for?
